Fire on Bear Den Mountain/Shoulder of Noonmark

 Labor Day 1999

Photo looking south taken from Big Crow Mt.

It was a bright sunny clear day around noon the haze/yellowish tint seen in the pictures is from the smoke which even at 10 miles away as the Crow flies (no pun intended) according to Topo you could still smell the fire strongly.

Fire was started by a careless camper days before.

From the top of Big Crow you could see the smoke traveling all the way up Rte. 73 and it passed me going into Keene it was an awesome sight.
